Students can receive academic credit for their participation. Theater Auditions

Theater Arts at Caltech (TACIT) is looking for directors, actors, writers and techs to participate in our program.
Information will be provided during the fall class below.

Wednesday, September 30, 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm

This class meets every Wednesday night from 7:30-9:30 and students learn the fundamentals of play direction, acting --
improvisation, dramatic writing, and production skills with a final public presentation Wednesday, December 4th, 7:00-10:00 pm in Ramo

Choral Music Auditions

Caltech Glee Club is non-auditioned, but the director would like to greet you and hear your voice for placement in the choir. No-fail auditions will be held at the Caltech Music House, located at 305 South Hill. You may bring a piece to sing, or just come and we'll find something for you. Sign-up sheets will be taped to the door on the side of the back building behind the Music House during the week prior to auditions. Chamber Singers is an auditioned group with singers selected from the Glee Club membership. Repertoire is advanced and rehearsal time is limited, so the group is for choral singers looking for an extra challenge. Everyone auditioning for Chamber Singers will also be asked to demonstrate music reading ability.For more information, please contact Nancy Sulahian at sulahian@caltech.edu.

All music auditions will be held at the Caltech Music House, located at 305 South Hill.
Sign-up sheets will be posted in the Music House during the week prior to auditions. Auditions are friendly and low stress. If you have a very short (2-3 minute) prepared piece that represents the level of your playing, bring it, but don't hesitate to audition if you do not have anything prepared. If you haven’t played your instrument in some time, please come and audition anyway. There may also be some sight reading.
